There are countless production companies out there willing to produce horror films. However, we needed ones that we thought would be willing or have,in the past produced and distributed horror films that are within our chosen sub genre. One major horror film production company was Hammer, who, through the 1930's to the 1970's produced many major horror film, as well as producing popular modern day horror films such as The Woman in Black, a noticeably British film, and Let me in. They do mainly make mainstream horror films, which possibly wouldn't fit our original idea, but Hammer does produce horror films of a wide variety of sub genres, making our psychological horror film a possibility.
Blumhouse Productions are also a large production company in the horror genre, however their films are orientated more towards low-budget paranormal and slasher films, which is not similar to our piece. Despite this, our title sequence is of the same independent type of film that this company produces and distributes, it's likely
that Blumhouse Productions, or a company similar to them, would be interested in producing our film.
There are a huge variety of other, larger, and more well known companies who could produce a psychological horror film, such as Warner Bros, Big Talk, or Paramount, but it is unlikely that an independent film would be produced or distributed by a major company like these.
Lauren.
